Champéry, the host region !

Yes, Champéry is a region for hosting events! After 2007 and 2009, the village in the canton Valais is again organizing the 4th round of the UCI-MTB-Worldcup on 24/25 July 2010. This is another possibility to confirm the Swiss reference for organizing a high level mountainbike-event.

These Worldcup-Races are going to be a big test event for the next year’s Worldchampionships. Is Burry Stander from South Africa going to repete his victory of 2009? Or is Nino Schurter going to celebrate his first Worldcup victory before defending his Worldchampion jersey in Mont Sainte Anne? Is Elisabeth Osl still going to be the dominant woman? Is Marielle Saner going to reach a place in the top 10 in her homerace? This year will be the comeback of the Downhill riders on the difficult track at Grand Paradis. Sam Hill was writing a little bit of history in 2007. And there are a couple rumours, that Sam Hill wants to give a lesson to his competitors. No doubts, the weekend on 24/25 Juli 2010 in Champéry will be the show of the World’s best mountainbikers!
